Itinerary
The Eve of the Tournament
The Knights Order hold the religious knighting ceremony in the
castle's church at 8:30pm. The night starts with a religious ceremony and
blessings from church. The squires participating in the ceremony swear "to
defend to his uttermost the weak, the orphan, the widow and the oppressed; he
should be courteous, and women should receive his especial care". The
squires wear white to symbolise purity and red to show royalty. The squires
will be dubbed by a royal "I dub thee Sir Knight" and the newly made
knights are given the title 'sir'. There will be celebration for all the new
knights for the rest of the night.
Tournament Weekend
THE MORNING
The tournament starts with a grand parade of the Knights, ladies and warriors. The Master of Ceremonies invites the Knights to take park in the tournament for courage and honour. The stalls open selling a wide range of objects
THE JOUST - JOUST A PLAISANCE
The first event of the day that is ongoing throughout the days of the tournament. It is the main event. It takes place with two knights mounted on horses wearing armour and carrying lances. The knights ride at each other, both in either side of a barrier, trying to know their opponent off of their mount. This major event allowed the knights to show off their skill with weapons and strength. They displayed their prowess in combat and abide the code of chivalry.
THE MELEE AND PASSAGE OF ARMS
The melee, a fierce battle between two teams of knights happening after the commencement of the Jousting tournament. The teams of knights fought on foot in an arena. The passage of arms follows the Melee and is when a knight can send out a challenge to another knight specifying a time and place for the battle to take place.
DANCING AND ENTERTAINMENT
As a form of a break from the fighting of the knights there will be a number of dances preformed and entertainment from jugglers, puppets and costume parades.

The archery event is for all the skilled archers participating in the tournament. They each take their turn to see who can shoot most accurately at a target place some distance away. The archer who is the most accurate is deemed the winner.

As a final prayer for the evening of the tournament a gregorian prayed is chanted and sung in Latin and the room illuminated by candle light.
